I was skeptical about a pocket encyclopedia actually helping me sort through my feelings, but the examples in each entry are shockingly spot-on. The Common Cures volume alone has become my go-to whenever I'm spiraling, and the fact that it fits in my coat pocket means it's always within reach.

The A-Z layout makes it dangerously easy to lose an hour—I started on “angry” and ended up somewhere around “wistful” without noticing. The Common Cures book is the real gem though, offering practical fixes I actually tried when I couldn’t name what I was feeling.

I’ve been flipping through the pocket-sized volumes on my commute, and the “Common Cures” reference section is the part I keep coming back to—it’s genuinely helpful when I’m stuck in a mood and can’t name it. The examples in the A-Z entries are specific enough that I’ve already identified two feelin
